I really enjoyed listening to book. I was a big fan of the original Reckoners series, so it was fun getting back into the world of Calamity with a new group of reckoners. I am disappointed that there is no text version though, but the narrator was very good.

The original Reckoners series is one of my favorites, so I was surprised to find that I enjoyed this one even more! Loved the characters, the story, and the excellent narration of the audiobook. The little nods to the original series hit hard after just finishing those books. Can't wait until we finally get e-book (and hopefully print) editions of Lux!

The longer I listened to this book, the more I realized how much I missed the series. Great for new fans and perfect for older fans, LUX has all the charisma, personality, and action that the original series had.

The story follows a new group of Reckoners as they take on the Epics who live in a floating city. The book takes its time developing the characters and their personalities, making each one real and someone to cheer for.

Jax has a great story arc. From a normal kid to a full fledged warrior, I loved his personality and the dialogues he had with others. This book truly shone when Jax interacted with the main villain, who was no laughing matter.

The action and plot were tight and thrilling. The dialogue was great and I loved the twists. This is a great audiobook for anyone who loves superheroes. It certainly helps that the narrator sounds remarkably like Chris Evans. The story ends on a cliffhanger, which means I am ready for more!

Highly enjoyable! Not a complicated read but thoroughly enjoyable with a great story in an interesting world. Very fun overall!

This was so fun! While I enjoyed the original Reckoners trilogy, some of the reveals and quirks fell flat for me by the end of that trilogy. This was the fun infiltration/heist meets adventure that I was looking for. The characters wrestled with interesting moral questions, and there were many fun nods to the original. Great exploration of loyalty, heroism, vengeance, and sacrifice. I need a sequel after that epilogue!

Also, the narrator of this audiobook is fantastic!

This was a good story in the Reckoners world. I am glad there will be more books coming in this world because it is a great concept about normal people needing to fight super power wielding bad guys. I am interested in seeing where it goes from here because there was a lot of new concepts discovered in this story that will really change the future. The characters were very Reckoner feeling and the book as a whole wasn't very noticeably co-written. I was a little nervous seeing Brandon Sanderson wasn't the main author but it fit nicely and the writing was only a little different from previous books in the series.

This book was just fine. If you loved the original Reckoners series, then this is exactly what you'd want. To me it felt like more of the same, I felt like I had already read this story with Steelheart.

You could tell that this was supposed to be three novellas - first part was the best by far - started to lag in parts two and three. Potentially interesting characters that I felt don’t get explored enough, which leaves the ending feeling flat.
