There was some beautiful moments in this book, but parts of it just felt a bit too neat to be believable. But the moments of beauty made me glad to have read it.

Loved it, great intel on how someone's own thoughts can deceive them. Could feel the love through the pages.

My goodness, what a gritty, raw, heartbreaking story. 14yr old Sam is about to take his life, and he encounters a most unlikely new friend- and they save each other. What happens from there is a remarkable and heartwarming tale of friendship and acceptance. You name it, it probably happens in this book!
.
This isn’t a read for the faint hearted, but the writing is so incredible, and Craig Silvey has done an incredible job with a gripping page turner which evokes all the emotions. You really feel a part of the story, and become so invested in Sam.
.
I really loved Aggie, what a fun character she is!
If you enjoyed Lola in the Mirror, you would like this- it gave me similar vibes, yet ramped up 10x and without the magical realism.
