An absolute page-turner. Silvey had me in the palm of his hand, laughing, crying, and so invested in the protagonist. A heartwarming story, set against a backdrop of cruelties and brutal injustices of the world. I welcomed the at times fantastical optimism of this book. It inspired hope for the power of human kindness and friendship to heal and find self-acceptance.

Not a complex read and it does feel at times that things will always come up Honeybee. Despite this, I think it portrays a super important message and clearly serves as a great way to introduce the topic of the marginalisation of the trans community to a wider audience

This is an absolutely brilliant book - I was gripped from the very beginning and genuinely couldn’t put it down. Despite the book being heavy and hard to read at points, it was incredibly uplifting. Would recommend to anyone that hasn’t already read Honeybee

This book made me really sad, it wasn't a light read. The family dynamics/abuse were the most difficult parts to read. Craig Silvey told a rich story though and the ending was perfect.
