Fans of Jodi Picoult's The Storyteller, go read this book!

There are many reasons why I cried at this book, to the point where I either couldn't put it down or I had to walk away and take a breather. Most notably in this regard is the mother-daughter relationship of Camila and Rory; it felt like I was reading about my own life, and it was the pinpoint accuracy that made me tearfully heard and understood.

Some characters I fell in love with right away. Others I have a roaring hatred for, like I do with Tom Buchanan (The Great Gatsby). And a few I have mixed feelings with. You will quickly make your allegiances. Pair that with the plot, events in 1985 and 1940s, and your heart is many times walking the high wire. I would not be surprised if this turns into a film.

All in all, the only regret I have is that I bought this as an eBook instead of a physical copy; I am quickly going to remedy it.
