Just excellent. Ties together well. Humorous and intense. I feel we really know the author through her vulnerability and style.

I suspect this will be one of my fav reads of 2024. I love Beth Moore and her story is even better. The audiobook is a must to hear her tell her story in her accent! I already knew about her past of child abuse, but didn't know who the perpetrator was... she tells all.

The writing in this book is uneven. The first half, Moore's childhood, reads with the unrelenting humor and speed of a folksy Aaron Sorkin. In the second half, Moore's journey into adulthood and ministry, that voice is all but lost, and the detail turns into a bare accounting of events.

The author is such an excellent storyteller,  gifted with words, so you can feel everything with her without it being graphic. So much truth, tragedy, trauma, raw, honesty, faith & hope.
