I think that the book was good, I enjoyed reading it, especially because of Vera. Her character was so outlandishly ridiculous sometimes that it made the book lighter and easier to read. Although I did enjoy the book overall, I don’t think was a fan of the writing style. I don’t really like reading stuff like “lol” or hearing mentions of more recent events or TikTok etc. But that’s just personal preference, at the end of the day the book was funny and relaxing and I didn’t hate it

I listened to the audiobook of this one. It was fantastic!! The narrator does an amazing job at the different characters in this book. Vera was by far my favorite. This book follows a story of an older Asian woman trying to solve the murder of a guy found dead in her tea house. It’s hilarious, heartwarming, and has a nice twist. I loved everything about this book.

this was so freaking entertaining. This leaned on some stereotypes but in a good way that made Vera a charming and cunning character that you couldn't help to love.
the reason this is not full 5 stars it is just because of some details in the plot that I didn't find convincing or polished enough.
the found family vibes are strong in this one, tho.
I listened to the audiobook for this one, and it was sooo good.
