 This book is the definition of a slow burn. It's a character study with an exquisite and immersive European setting, a morally grey character (I love morally grey characters!!!) and the vibes of this book are phenomenal. If you aren't a fan of philosophy, sociology, anthropology and conservation, maybe skip it. But if you're like me and enjoy all of those things and the surprising intersection of themes, then you'll hopefully enjoy it as much as I did. I'll be mulling over this one for a long time.
