Audiobook

I listened for 3 hours before giving up. I know the main character was an undercover agent trying to disrupt a cult/terrorist organization, but I have no idea why there was so much blather about early human evolution in the beginning. There was so much extraneous detail about seemingly unrelated things that I never got interested in the story.
