Bin gespannt was mich noch für Abgründe in Little Kilton erwarten.

Holly Jackson I think is my 'just one my chapter' author. I don't think I experienced it this heavily ever. If I had all the books on my shelf whenever I started this one I wouldn't stop myself from reading at certain points because I do have a feeling I could have finished it earlier if the second book was waiting on my shelf for me.
The way Holly writes these mysteries is just incredibly satisfying and easy to read. Even if you do figure out the plot twist she ties it up together so nicely that I truly do not have any gripes with the way the story was handled.
The only thing I can really complain about was the romance. Which was non-existent through the entire book only for them to get together in the last chapter. Which not gonna lie expecting a nice slow burn over the trilogy left me a bit disappointed.
Oh and oh my fucking god, this has the 'I know this person may be dangerous but I'll drink whatwver they give me anyway' thing. I always hated it and I will stay hating it because it's one of the stupidest, most annoying and frequently used scenarios in cime books/films. Especially here considering how smart our main character is.
Other than that tho, I loved Pip (and Ravi obviously) so much and I am excited to read the other two books with her. Hopefully they keep up the quality, but having read Five Survive I can tell her writing just gets better as the years go on.
