Not the best of Bowen’s books, maybe not as charming as a lot of her other works, but I liked the world of the ski resort that was built!

So cute but boring! Este libro me quiso hacer que yo me durmiera como 89% of the time I was readings. Estamos a 6! Bye feliz libro 300! Yo sabía que podías hacerlo!❤️

I am so happy that Sarina Bowen, Rebecca Yarros, and Devney Perry are giving us another collab series. I love the Hush Notes series and from this set up I know I’m going to love the Madigan Mountain series just as much if not more.
This is a second-chance romance between Reed and Ava. They were college sweethearts who broke up 10 years ago and haven’t seen each other since.
Reed hasn’t been back to his family's ski mountain where he grew up in an incredibly long time but when he gets an email from his father saying he’s selling the mountain. Reed decides to go home to Colorado to make sure the sale is legit and that the buyers aren’t screwing with his dad. When he gets there he finds Ava his ex who he thought was the love of his life.
I really enjoyed this second chance romance. I was nervous going in because sometimes they can be too messy for me but this one was lighter on the angst and had the right amount of connection and passion and some fantastic communication.
The audio narration was done so well and you can’t go wrong with Andi Arnt and Sebastian York.
I can’t wait to read his brother's books and be back in this amazing setting with all the fantastic side characters.

Such a cute winter read. This book made laugh, cry, swoon and I really want to go on a holiday in the mountains now. Great introduction to the series, can’t wait to read the next books!

This was a solid, relatively low-angst second chance romance. Reed returns home when his father decides to sell the family ski resort business and retire. And OOPS he finds out that his ex from college is working as the associate manager for his family's business. Some mountain shenanigans, ski fun and corporate espionage - you name it, this story's got it. Apart from the fun, we get to see Reed heal and try to mend things with his now-sober father and confront his pain from the loss of his mother. I loved how this sets up a for a brand new series into the world of Madigan Mountain. Bowen's writing is atmospheric (the mountain gossip mill? the powder snow in Colorado? it's hot as balls here so nothing gets better than reading about winter right now) and as usual, one can expect a cosy cast of secondary characters.

Excited to continue with the other Madigan brothers' stories!

It was a nice quick read but didn’t have anything special. I feel like the angst had a good build up but didn’t really amount to anything. Also with their past??? I think they both just ignored the issues that they had. This man should’ve been on his knees begging for forgiveness. This book should have been 70% grovelling. But I was robbed.
