This one was fine, not as good as I was hoping, but still a decently fun time.
This is the third book in the Seven Brides For Seven Alien Brothers Series and it is by far the best one. Callum is a one in a million and definitely a keeper. This story is beautiful, romantic, passionate and hot as hell. Callum comes to life and shines with Pearl. His heart has been dormant for so long he embraces every opportunity with Pearl. Pearl is and has been very maternal. Though she wanted children she couldn't envision it. Now, in her heart she knows she can trust Callum. He is her savior. A male who protects and cares for her. Slowly her walls she built around her soften. The most beautiful love story blooms.

I binge read this series.
Would I say it’s binge worthy? Probably not. But they’re short reads, and there was always *just* enough potential to give me hope that the next book would be *the one*…but turns out I didn’t love any of them.
If you’re wanting cozy fantasy reads, where the women seemingly climaxes spontaneously, these might be for you?

I think this one is my favorite so far. I liked that these characters were older and, while they had tough pasts, they were able to find love that was sweet and tender.
I also appreciated that the author depicted Pearl's natural responses after suffering from abuse. I have read a few different books with heroines who were abused, and it annoyed me when they would just magically seem ok with a new person just because they were attracted to them. I felt like this author did a good job showing that while Pearl wanted Callum, sometimes our bodies react involuntarily due to trauma.
Callum was so sweet and patient with Pearl since she was abused by her previous husband, and I liked how he thought about how to behave to ease her.
I did think the random Voltur scene later in the book was a little out of left field, but I'm assuming it will tie into the next book more.

I think this is relatively fun alien erotica and I do plan on reading the rest of it, but it just seems like each book should be a good 50-100 pages longer than they are. Callum was a fun premise, but it felt like the romance developed SO fast (and I mean fast for a romance book), when it could have been given a lot more time to breathe and grow and the book would have been really quite good. I also feel like I feel like since the book is shorter than I feel it should be, it really rushed the part of Pearl's recovery from her abuse from her ex-husband. Like, I just feel like if you're going to add something that heavy and serious, you should allow for enough time to actually explore it instead of using it as set dressing.
