ehh i had high hopes for this book, but sadly it didn't live up to my expectations. the audio dropped for this book today and i clicked it so fast..

to me both MC's felt a little surface level.. but i still enjoyed seeing all the friends/made family together.

i am most looking forward to Hopper and Liam's book.. so hopefully that comes on audio soon!!

Attraction was the perfect combination of murder and swoon!

I loved Luca and Ford together and I felt like their story delivered everything I could have wanted from their building attraction in the earlier books. Despite their mutual attraction it was a slow burn romance, but I never felt like it was too dragged out. Ford needed time and I love that Luca gave it to him.

It was a well written and captivating story, and I really enjoyed seeing Ford and Luca finally acting on their feelings for each other. Great plot with some building suspense, and I loved the plot twist - didn’t see that one coming at all! Another great addition to the series - Luca and Ford is definitely my favourite couple so far!

This story follows a billionaire virgin and the mobster who is patiently waiting for the right time to make his move on him. I liked this dynamic, but overall I couldn’t help but be quite bored with the whole thing. Everything between them is easy and simple with absolutely no conflict at all.
There’s also not much development between them, considering they are both in love with each other since before the book even started and nothing about their relationship really changes along the way. It was all quite monotone.
Thus, despite thinking the idea behind their relationship was cute, I can’t say I was very invested.

Before last night I would’ve died for him, killed for him, anything to keep him safe. Today, I would live for him, change for him, do everything I can to make him feel confident in himself.

I think it is clear to say, especially after giving this series and author a second chance, that I just do not match well with this particular kind of writing. Something is continually missing for me here, and I don't know if it's the lack of depth, uninteresting plotlines or cheesy romance, but I'm definitely just not a fan. Oh well.

Book safety, tropes and tags down below.

This one was definitely a little more chill than the second book when it came to OTT characters. We’re talking about a mob boss and a billionaire, so of course it’s still pretty crazy, but I enjoy that shit 9 times out of 10. Luca is an adorable mafia boss with a sweet side. I especially enjoyed how he was protective and possessive, but it didn’t feel toxic like those character traits often can. Ford was a great character and I had been looking forward to getting more of his character since he showed up in book 1. A nerdy billionaire with a really sharp fashion sense and a virgin.

It’s been a while since I read some straight up romancing romance. We’ve got dates, galas and slow dancing in the kitchen with gun holsters on the kitchen island, as well as romantic getaways to the italian countryside. Swoon.

«It’s impossible not to touch when we’re in each others presence. It’s disgusting, and I love it.»

They are definitely disgustingly cute together, and I adored how excited and supportive their friends were of their relationship.

The virgin trope can definitely get old after a while with the whole innocent-and-pure thing, but Ford didn’t fall under that at all. He was comfortable with his own sexuality and definitely not non-sexual just because he’s a virgin. This man is a force to be reckoned with in bed, and you bet Kelly Fox brought the heat here as well. Highly enjoyed it.

This is the third book in the 'Mobsters and Billionaires' series and I absolutely loved it. I was so happy to see Lucas get a book, then with the flirting and chemistry with Ford, it was just perfect. I can't wait to see what comes next in this series.
