The scariest dystopias for me are those in the near future, the ones that easily plausible. Goats deals with the death of the NHS, it raises the fears of our government's constant attempts to kill it off.
The story follows a Dr doing his rounds, long hours, having to constantly going against his hypocritic oath because of "company" policy, those too poor will not get treated and it tears him apart. There are some very clever uses of flashbacks.
This was released to celebrate the NHS's 70th birthday, hopefully it will survive the onslaught and celebrate many more birthdays.
