This book very much fits into the (very religious) views of Dave Ramsey/his followers. The tone of the writing is pretty out of touch with the lived experience and reality of anyone born after 1985.
Some aspects of the system are useful - tracking spending, trying to adopt a no shame mindset, and investing long term - while other aspects seem like grandstanding, bemoaning the lack of church goers in younger generations, extreme fat phobia and comparing spending to diet culture favorably, and boiler plate motivational speaking.
