An interesting juxtaposition of stories - many of the characters are leading sad, lonely lives; broken people just existing, and not coping very well. Then a series of dire, grim events happen to pull all these people together and gradually the become the own weird, crazy, found family.
I enjoy a good found family and had lots of good elements. However, I found the full circle ending a bit too Hollywood. I'm up for a happy ending, this one was just to pat. That aside, a strong read about complex personalities and the changes that can happen when surrounded by people who care. I must admit, I even shed a tear or two toward the end.
