Loving this series

I really enjoyed this book. The mix of the family being reality stars was very amusing. This book makes me want to go to our local derby bout.

Sebastian was a very patient, supportive hero when it came to Chelsea.

I loved every single thing about this book.

Chelsea's back story is really heartbreaking (rape- there's no graphic details, Chelsea was drugged so doesn't know remember it happening but it's still a big part of Chelsea's story) and even though it was 3 years ago she's still hugely traumatised by it and Sebastian has to take it so slowly with her. It was so sweet the way he cared so much and really put her first, and tried not to make her feel terrible, I totally fell in love with him.

I also thought that it's such an important story- so many people get raped (the stats are really horrific, it's something like 1/6 women and 1/33 men in the US have been raped) and there's so much victim blaming around so this story, showing one victim's side of the story (because each one is different) and that regardless of exactly what did happen, it's never the victim's fault.

I am between 4 and 5 stars for this book. And at the end decided on giving 5 stars.

I am amazed with Miss Clare. On how she can make a horrible, horrific event becoming a fun and sweet healing without losing the sensitivity of the topic. She creates Chelsea. She is a kick ass character. She is vulnerable, strong and brave woman. She takes charge when she is needed too. I love she is showing her vulnerable side to Sebastian.

Sebastian is a character of patience man. The perfect patience man. Plus he is a billionaire. What else a woman can ask for?

This one runs a little deeper than most of her Billionaire Boys’ Club & Billionaires & Bridesmaids series go. Sebastian is embarrassed by his interfering, reality TV obsessed family. Especially when they decide their next season will include his ex-girlfriend trying to get him back.

Sebastian meets Chelsea at a groomsmen meets bridesmaids party. They get along well & soon decide they can solve all their problems by getting married. When Chelsea’s past decides it’s not done with her, she decides to leave.

But don’t worry, it’s a romance! HEA.

Sorry for the snark, this one actually dealt with troubling issues & was a good read.

This is the first novel by this author I have read. While it is part of a series, it is a stand alone with no cliffhanger. I didn't feel like I missed anything by not having read the previous books in the series, but I will be sure to check them out. I really enjoyed this book. It is well written with great characters. The main characters are Chelsea and Sebastian and both are realistic. Although the story does involve a billionaire, Sebastian is not the dominant alpha billionaire that we have seen in so many other stories. There is more to him. The author has written him with vulnerability and emotion. I also really enjoyed the character of Chelsea. She is witty, fun, independent and also vulnerable due to a tragedy in her past. As the story unfolds we see this unlikely pair go from friendship to love and it is not overnight as with some other stories. This was a journey for the pair and one I enjoyed reading. There are also a lot of wonderful secondary characters including Sebastian's crazy family and Chelsea's roller derby family. And, there are plenty of steamy scenes for those who are looking for that in a story. All in all this was a quick fun read and I will certainly check out other books by this author.

Disclosure: I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

3.5/5 stars

A modern spin on a marriage of convenience. Sebastian Cabral is a billionaire who inherited his wealth from his family. Chelsea Hall makes artisan soaps during the day and is part of a roller derby team at night. Sebastian's family has a reality TV show, but he wants to stay out of the spotlight. Chelsea is dealing with the trauma of a previous sexual assault.
