This was a huge change of pace from the typical alpha male novel and I really appreciated it! Now on to Xeni’s story
What a fun and sexy read!
Rafe was such a great love interest! He was supportive, understanding, and great with kids. Sloan was iconic! She’s one of the youngest black surgeons in her field and a single mother to twin girls. I can barley get ready I the morning I couldn’t even imagine. Them together was just magic. Sloan needed that constant, reliable presence and Rafe provided that. Rafe needed someone who believed in him and loved him without judgment and Sloan was there. Just perfect really! And of course the sneaking around the kids to have some adult time was really fun to read. If you are in need of a sweet and spicy romance I highly recommend Rafe!

This read like fanfic, which I mostly mean in a good way - funny, minimal conflict, lots of sex. I do wish it had been through another round of editing, as there were some stilted sentences and grammatical errors that took me out of the moment. But it was a quick read and I had a good time.
There was some good things in this but it wasn’t great. There was such low angst and stakes it felt kind of hollow. I mean it’s great when the characters feel so real but it’s still a book. It should be fun too.

There was so much potential in this one but I just couldn’t get past how fast things progressed. I also listened to this one and didn’t connect with the narrator. Just not right for me.
I just loved everything about this book.
We had great character development.
Beautifully crafted relationships between all characters and each character felt like they had a personality.
The communication between Rafe and Sloan was beautiful and I just loved following the development of their relationship and how they dealt with all the complexities that come with it.
Sloan was such a strong character who came into her own. I enjoyed reading from her POV and found her to be such an inspiration.
Rafe was such a cinnamon hero and I loved it. From how patient he was with Sloan to his amazing relationship with Addison and Avery. He was such a swoony hero.
This story also hit so many emotions for me. Even though it was low angst, I found myself so emotionally invested in this relationship.
This was my very first Rebekah Weatherspoon and it definitely won’t be my last.

This was my first male nanny romance and I enjoyed it. I like that Rafe was a total cinnamon roll, but without lessening his masculinity. The scenes with the girls were just... ugh, melting. I also appreciated that he was straight up with telling our heroine (aka his boss) that he was developing an attraction to her so that there was no miscommunication or pining or will they-won't they as part of the plot.
I do see people talking more about the book that follows this one a lot more, Xeni. We are introduced to Xeni in this book and those interactions truly made me laugh out loud. I now understand the hype and can't wait to read her book.
I definitely think I need to reevaluate my relationship with audiobooks and be more conscious of which books I listen to and which I read physically. While I read this way faster by listening to the audio on 2.5 speed, rather than the days it would take me to physically read it, I don't think I got the full effect of the story. Flying through it so quickly left me forgetting details the further I get from it.
