i knew i was gonna hate this book when all of bree’s ptsd was miraculously cured bc she slept next to a man she’d known for about a week. i was gonna give it an extra pity star bc i was sorta entertained ig but the farther along i read the more i grew agitated.
1. IT IS SO CRINGE. holy shit some of the lines made me put the book down for a good five minutes. (case in point: “yes, local, mute loner, but my local, mute loner” HELLO????? i vomited in my mouth.)
2. it was sooooooo predictable. from the prologue, i already predicted what archer’s accident would be, and that connor would end up being his dad. like DUH???!!! elementary school kids would be able to predict this shit.
3. THEY DIDNT WVEN TALK ABOUT THEIR TRAUMA. AT ALL. their entire relationship was “i bree you” (CRINGE BTW) and having sex. like it literally just felt like their trauma was just there as lore. i get that they dont have to alw talk ab it but all their past ptsd just went away as soon as they smashed.
4. why tf was travis given a redemption arc in the end???????? he literally manipulated archer into borderline SA????
5. speaking of the ending i hated how it was tied up w a fucking bow and everything was perfect. ur telling me nobody died???? AND AHEN ARCHER WOKE UP HE SAYS “i came back for u

So different than I expected it to be. Bree seriously changed so many people’s mindsets, it was so sweet. Archer deserved so much more than he was dealt! Kinda cheesy, but super cute!
