This book is far too cute !
It literally had me feel every emotion under the sun & gasp at various parts!
I loved the way Archer & Bree helped heal each other in the most raw way possible .
The story line / plot was great & I’m excited to read more of Mia’s books

Originally, I would have given this book like a 3.8-4 star read. However, within the last 100 pages, it went down to a 2.5-3 at BEST. There are many issues I have with this book.
•Instant love. Ran into a man, couldn’t even see his face really, and felt an instant pull? Then basically trespassed onto his property? Just get your dog and go, or better yet, don’t be so nosey.
•Writing was a tad cringey, with her use of descriptors and what the characters were engaging in.
•Had flashbacks and panic attacks for months, rightly so, only for them to be magically gone when she stays with a man one time? That is not how mental illness or traumatic events work.
•Once they were together, it seemed the only thing they could connect with was sex. Talk about feelings? Nope just wanna feel good. Wanna go somewhere? Nope too scared. Both pushing each other to be someone they’re not.
•How are they even entertaining Travis? Blind to nearly every red flag. I don’t care if he just fondled her nipples and got a lap dance. I don’t care if he has never been in a relationship and has been isolated his whole life. An absolute idiot would know better than to be with someone else sexually when it’s such a big deal to them. And for her to forgive him instantly? Nope would’ve been the end for me, or would have much more making up to do.
•She’s there for him time and time again, reassuring him of his biggest fear that she’ll never leave. And you know what he does? Leaves. Disappears for months. Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, leaving her to wonder if he’s ever coming back absolutely suffering. He couldn’t even be without her for a couple HOURS when she dropped her phone in a puddle. I am all for taking time to discover and better yourself, but he could’ve communicated a bit. Where he was, that he’ll be back or will call and let her know if he won’t.
•He comes back, and we welcome him with open arms? She has one moment of clarity where she’s upset he left for three months. But oh that doesn’t matter because now I get to have sex again. Where is her self worth? Fondling strippers and abandonment don’t make the list?
•The murderer comes back and shoots Archer and is murdered in cold blood, and no one seems traumatized by this? Just brushed past in one chapter until he wakes up from his coma. If I were Bree, and the same man murdered my father and nearly the love of my life, and his aunt was behind it, I’d be in shambles. And need more than just running her out of town. But oh well, doesn’t matter!
•Now, ALL their problems are solved. A man who was in complete isolation for 15 years and was in a coma for weeks now runs a city just because his dad did all that time ago? And knows exactly how to do it?
•Hearing all of his stories while away, all the things he experienced without her when all she did was try to be there for him, how does she not care? What DOES she care about?
•THE END! Twins, pregnancy, magical happy ending. We’s got a problem here :|

4.5 stars rounded up.
Excuse me, where can I get myself an Archer? 1000% willing to learn sign language to get one of my own because this man is too perfect for words.
I love love loved their story, their heartbreak, and their little town. Bree and Archer were so heartfelt and imperfect and I loved every moment of their story.
My only complaint, and the reason Archer's Voice gets 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars, is due to some poor editing. Some of the sentences didn't quite make sense, and there were a few other little errors scattered throughout. Otherwise, beautiful read, perfect for a wintery Sunday afternoon.

Going into Archer’s Voice, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I had only heard about this book from a friend so I was going in blind.
I really loved the chemistry Bree and Archer have and the character development throughout the book.
Bree moves to Pelion to get away from Ohio where tragedy happened and where she hopes she can finally find peace.
There she meets Archer Hale, and she’s the only one who would see him and try to go out of her way to get to know him, etc. The rest of the story unfolds before your eye and it’s a beautiful one.
There were so many cute moments in this book, along with a couple of heart wrenching ones. This book made me laugh, cry, scream in anger and much more. I really enjoyed this audiobook and I will definitely be reading more of Mia’s work in the future.
