The ending leaves you feeling depressed and distressed with no opportunity to resolve those feelings. Otherwise it was a cute story with plenty of end matter concerning China.

Girl is a bad friend and loses touch with her friend forever, leaving only regrets. Also, China is big. I appreciate the lack of a happy ending.
