well… that was certainly a book. one of the biggest train wrecks i’ve ever read, but for some reason I couldn’t stop. the ridiculousness was so bad that it was entertaining.
trying to keep track of who all this girl is sleeping with (consensually? non consensually? sometimes it was hard to tell and no I will not elaborate on that iykyk) was insane.
there were a fuck ton of POVs. like SO MANY. I swear at least 5 or 6. and that’s something I really fucking hate tbh. It was so hard to keep track. can we also talk about how they were all HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. god. such fucking utter ridiculousness. killing people, having the dirtiest, kinkiest, roughest sex i’ve ever read.
the smut was honestly quite fantastic. it’s so odd how sometimes these really terrible books have some of the hottest smut scenes i’ve ever read. is it because i’m depraved and dark and a little twisted? absolutely. nonetheless, YUM.
to summarize, this book was ridiculous and hard to follow. but it was almost impossible to put it down, I was thoroughly entertained. would never be on a list of books I would recommend to anyone, but it was a wild fucking ride.

I'm too old for this book, but that doesn't take away from how bad it is.
These are high school students. Teenagers. Being raped by each other and the adults in their lives, being manipulated, everyone in a relationship is cheating with multiple other people - it's really just child porn. However, even if the author would've aged up the characters to college; it's still not a good book.
Add in, this is supposed to be an erotic HORROR novel. To qualify for the horror part of that, there needs to be more blood, body horror, SOMETHING! If the same amount of detail went into the horror aspect as into the erotica - then maybe it would qualify and actually be a gruesomely fun read.
Think WISH Scream + TEMU Cruel intentions. Only the killer(s) are OBVIOUS from the moment they are introduced.
To be clear, I am a huge fan of erotic horror. The more messed up, depraved, and nausea inducing - the better.
If you want any substantial horror with your erotica, this ain't it.

This book. God damn. This was dark, depeaved & deliciously sinful. Filled with obsession, deceit, lies, degradation, & the spice.. I think this even made me blush

Wow I have never read anything like this before; erotic horror is new for me! I appreciate that the story dove straight in. The multi POV of everyone was a little confusing at first but it made sense as the book went on. I was surprised who ended up being the copycat serial killer. I love how psychotic Keira and King are and they fit perfectly together

*I received an advanced copy and below are my independent and true thoughts.*
This book was: Dark, hot, and gore-y. Loved it!
I didn't know what to think going into this book. I expected spice (and boy did I get it), but I was open for pretty much anything.
Well this book is a dark whodunit, murder bonanza, super spicy, romance. It felt like a mix between SAW and Scream and kept me on the edge of my seat and screaming at my kindle like the characters could actually hear me.
The ONLY reason this book gets 4 stars and not five is because I personally need my villains to want and achieve redemption. (So what if they killed a few folks if they're sorry they did it...right?)
If you liked Hooked, Haunting Adeline, or other super dark and hot romance reads. THIS BOOK HAS YOUR NAME ON IT!

Title: "Sinister Legacy" by Harleigh Beck
"Sinister Legacy" by Harleigh Beck is an engaging murder mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed. From the very beginning, it had me hooked with its intriguing storyline and well-crafted characters. What sets this book apart is the element of suspense - the murderer's identity is cleverly concealed until the very end, keeping readers guessing and on the edge of their seats.
Beck's writing style is captivating, and the way she weaves together the intricate plot is masterful. The book takes you on a thrilling journey through a web of secrets and deceit, making it a page-turner from start to finish.
One of the highlights of "Sinister Legacy" is the depth of the characters and their complex relationships. As the story unfolds, you can't help but become emotionally invested in their fates.
I highly recommend "Sinister Legacy" to anyone who loves a spicy murder mystery. It's a suspenseful and well-executed novel that will keep you guessing until the very last page. Harleigh Beck has certainly delivered a compelling and memorable mystery that's not to be missed.
