Cute story. Didn't blow my mind, or make my panties spontaneously combust (though Kent had some lines that were knee-wobble-inducing), but it was solidly told with likeable characters. I'm not entirely sure the solution to Rebecca's problem was remotely realistic (why would it make Jason not carry through with his threats), but whatever. It's always nice to see the bad guy get his comeuppance.
Also: For the love of all that is holy, someone needs to let Ms. Lore (and her editor, if she utilizes one) know that it's whoa not whoah. Sorry, pet peeve #I've-lost-count.

Wow, what an amazing loving Story
Loved the way the H/h met and how they fell in love
It’s really not a typical Rock Star love story.

This book didn't really do it for me. I was actually quite disappointed. For most part, I think the author tried to make a mix of things that just didn't add up.
So Kent is a controlling, distanced guy with loads of money.... sound familiar? Yeah I thought so too.
Rebecca isn't exactly naïve but still sort of only stumbles through life in which ever way other people tell her to.
Her compulsive cleaning didn't really make her cute, it felt forced into the plot so that everyone knew when she was stressed.
Why the entire story is centered about a rock group I don't know. No one, except Carter, seems to be passionate about music. Manny would rather be a painter, Sonya's only there because she failed at Opera training and Kent... well honestly it feels as if Kent is only there for two reasons: to make loads of money and to look out for Carter - and making money is a hell of a lot more important to him.
There is absolutely no passion, no emotion in their music. And if Carter really had such a drug and alcohol problem Kent should have put him in rehab - not just give him a fake girlfriend. But I guess with the lead guitarist and songwriter in rehab, they couldn't sell any records...
Also there is absolutely no connection between the band members. It's as if they all hate each other and only sort of ended up together because they had no other choice and they might be able to do some good music.
Also the entire romance between Kent and Rebecca didn't do it for me. It just felt forced and not at all real. There was also no reason why they should really fall for each other. She only thinks about his hot body and that's it. He's a brooding, quiet, hot looking bad boy and so she falls for him. He? I don't know. She cleans and asks stupid questions - apparently in his eyes that makes her irresistible.

This book taught me several things.
1. you can have a good plot and storyline, even great characters but still be a bad book. i.e fifty shades of grey
2. I didn't care for the authors random thoughts that tended to distract me from the scene she was developing. For instance in the middle of a heightened sexual tension moment she describes it like… the feeling where you are running after a kite string that got away and she's chasing after it… times like this struck me as odd and took me out of the moment.
3. that I prefer less graphic details in a book. or ever. parts of this book kinda grossed me out. way to much detail and sometimes too vulgar for my taste. you can't bring characters back from certain things they've done in my opinion.
This was the first book I asked for a refund on from audible. I was disappointed. Once again a trend I am seeing in books lately is nothing redeeming about the hero or attractive besides the fact they are smoking hot or protective of the heroine . Not funny, witty, charming, sweet… just attraction for some cosmic reason.
I liked the plot, had potential, but right from the start I was more interested in the character of the younger brother than the main hero. I laughed out loud in this book several times. a few time because the author can be genuinely funny and writes very much in the now. but other times it was out of an overly cheesy overly descriptive sex scene that use words that are not something it's ever think to use or say in real life.

Pure fluff!
Readable, funny ... a sweet (sometimes way to sweet) fairy tale rock romance.

So I'm trying to be more open to reading other genres this year and after reading [b:Sole Possession|15991204|Sole Possession|Bryn Donovan|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1346860438s/15991204.jpg|21747560] and [b:Beautiful Disaster|8701074|Beautiful Disaster|Laura Spinella|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1327128138s/8701074.jpg|13573856] last year and really enjoying them, I figured reading more romance would be a good idea. But since I prefer books that are a little edgy, I went with one filled with sex, drugs, and rock & roll. (I actually read this in its serial form - Exclusive Interview, Exclusive Arrangement, etc. but I feel like I'm cheating if I count those as 4 books on my "read" list.)
The characters were great, the plot was interesting, and I was captivated enough that I found myself looking forward to reading the next one as soon as I finished this one. I'm excited to find out more about the other members of the band.
