Wanted to see how this compared to the original story. Though the illustrations were stunning, the story felt more powerful when it was written in verse for me.
After having completed the original novel, this graphic version fits perfectly. It seems to fix holes in the novelized version of visualization (not that this was a massive issue, just a minor). Overall, just a spectacular read.
The original book was great, but this format is so perfect for the story. The art just adds so much more meaning and poignancy.

An absolute fist to the side of my head. Heartbreaking, while being tender and raw. Some of the lines ("...just remember, when you're walking in the nighttime, make sure the nighttime ain't walking into you.") and illustrations are beautiful.
