a very powerful & impactful story that discusses gun violence through the eyes of a grieving & scared teenage boy. reynolds uses this book to show cyclical violence & gives us the hope at the end that maybe one day it will break. novgorodoff has such skill in capturing all the emotion in reynold's words in her breathtaking illustration.
