The story is sad, powerful, raw. Beautiful art. I wanted more closure at the end, but maybe that’s not the point. I felt unclear on the message the author wanted to communicate, but I think this would be a great book to discuss with others.

I received an eARC of this book from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved the original story, but the graphic novel adds an incredible element. The artwork is amazing and so well done. It adds depth and so much more emotion to the story. I could feel the emotion pulsing through the novel, but to see the actual facial expressions and the drawing of events as they played out just made it that much more powerful. Highly recommend.

This story was meant to be a graphic novel. The art is fantastic and this adaptation engaged me in a way the original novel didn’t.

I've already read the novel and listened to the audiobook, so I thought I'd complete the trifecta!
This version brought something new to the already amazing story.
