Oh man.... that was rough. But so so good.
Not a lot of words but a lot to say and it was impactful.

It's such a struggle to have to grow up like that and to have that kind of weight on oneself but it's a very good moral to the story and it spoke such truth about life and how people feel and think.

I really enjoyed this and I'm usually not one for loving words and making quotes from books but this one definitely had a good few.
"The blood inside you is on the inside of someone else, you never want to see it on the out of them."

Just as good as the print version.

No crying, no snitching, and get revenge. Three rules you must follow when your brother is shot dead.
Will's sadness takes him on an adventure while following these three rules. Will isn't the only one who knows these rules.
The watercolor artwork in this book is gorgeous. It really helped me to understand what was going on in this book. I found the narrative portion of this book hard to follow. It was very vague. There were many new characters introduced every few pages and I found it hard to follow along with who was who and what their story/relation was to Will. I think this may have been more enjoyable had I read the book prior to the graphic novel.

Jeg synes, at den fungerede bedre som en rigtig bog, der blev læst højt af forfatteren. Elskede the art style tho

Oh, man. The novel in verse was so moving and heart wrenching, and this graphic novel was no different. It was hard to read at times, to see the actual colors and images of the horrific shootings on the page. I loved the illustrator’s work for this book. I’m trying to find the words to describe it and it’s hard, but it’s not clean lines and thick colors. It’s almost light and airy and dreamlike, which I feel suits the scenes in the elevator when Will is seeing all of the ghosts from his life. Again I loved how the ending sort of left it up to the reader’s imagination. Did he go, take revenge? Or did he decide to break the cycle?

Story gets better every time I read it. And then this one is accompanied by the wonderful art! I can't wait for this to hit shelves! Real review and Reading Journal entry to come!

I'm speechless. This book is just beautiful, in every way.
