Really enjoyed this slow burn of a book. I was invested in the story from the beginning. More about the characters than the plot, but I think it worked with the predicaments of the characters.

I think this book is one of the few to have changed the way I view this world. V.E. Schwab never disappoint I've known that since I started reading one of her books for the first time. But this book is truly a masterpiece. A rollercoaster, plottwists and so emotional. I knew I would be heartbroken and I pushed through when I did just to get another heartbreaking, gutwrenching wave of letters thrown over me. Please please please read this, and always remember.

I finally read this one after it being on my TBR for so long! I really enjoyed it, the story was unlike anything I've ever read before and Addie was such a likable character it made it hard not to root for her. I also feel as though this would be a good entry into fantasy as it read more like historical fiction with some magical realism.

We are following Addie LaRue who makes a deal that she will live forever with freedom but that catch is that no one will remember her. Her story spans over 300 years and we go backwards and forwards between the present day and the 1700s when the curse began. I found it a bit slow and hard to follow in the beginning but the more I got into it, the more I couldn't put it down.

It was also quite a reflective book as I feel most of us would want to live forever or make the deals other characters make but actually seeing them play out was super interesting. It was a tad on the long side but otherwise really enjoyable. 4.5 stars
