Neil Gaiman’s Coraline is a beautifully eerie tale that blurs the line between children's fantasy and adult nightmare. Gaiman’s writing is elegant and haunting, perfectly capturing the curiosity and stubborn courage of its young heroine. The "other mother" is one of the most chilling villains I’ve encountered.

It’s a short book, but every page is packed with imagination, cleverness, and heart. A must-read for fans of dark fairy tales, Coraline proves that bravery doesn’t come from being fearless, but from facing your fears head-on.

I got into the book after first watching the movie. I dont often get inspired to read from films but after the amazing animation job I couldnt help it.

Coraline is a short but fantastically creepy book, that I feel was much more thrilling then the movie (Although I think the movie was tamed down to reach a much younger audience.). I love the descriptions of the other mother and I loved how fast paced it all was. No long unnecessary delays in the story. well detailed and terrifying in parts. loved it.

The only book I loved from this author. Removed my star rating as I will no longer support him in any shape or form.
When there are accusations of sexual abuse, I will always believe the victims. Too long women have been ignored when a male abuser is famous.

"You know that I love you."
And despite herself, Coraline nodded. It was true. The other mother loved her. But she loved Coraline as a miser loves money, or a dragon loves its gold. In the other mother's button eyes, Coraline knew that the other mother loved her as a possession, nothing more, a tolerated pet whose behavior was no longer amusing.
