this definitely feels like a comic book from the 70s! I like the voice over narrator and the art is very fun

You can really tell why this was the beginning of X-Men's cultural impact. The new cast is just so much more interesting because of their natural friction, and even though there's not a lot of background information on them presented in the comic, it's a pretty tight little issue. I enjoyed it more than most older comics.

This is when the X-men got a "breath of fresh air" with new members joining the team, iconic characters like Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler and Colossus.
Thunderbird, Banshee and Sunfire also join the team.
