Interesting but not incredible, definitely needed a couple more editing passes. Not nearly as much of a discussion about the experience of being often the only woman on male-dominated expeditions, which was a little jarring. She almost seemed to be trying to distance herself from her gender, which I respect, but then sometimes would insert random passages that read like “but can’t forget I’m a girl! I’m not like the other girls but I am still a girl”

Absolutely phenomenal writing! Felt like I was right next to her on each adventure!

I just randomly picked this up at the library and did not expect it to be such an enthralling read. As an extremely novice scuba diver I know enough about scuba diving to be completely astounded by her exploration and adventures. It was a fascinating memoir detailing her cave diving adventures, relationships, close calls, and self reflection. Really an all around fascinating read about a woman at the top of her field in one of the riskiest careers.
