A heartwarming bittersweet story about Christmas and friendship.

I have a Penguin Modern Classic edition, so I had a chance to read not only Christmas Memory, but other four short stories. All of them are about festive season, belief, darkness under the glitter, and importance of caring people in one’s life.

Capote’s slow, linear style of these stories might calm your mind down, force you to listen to a peaceful piano playlist on Spotify (happens to me
lighthearted relaxing

I thnk giving it 4 stars is a bit generous but this book reminds me so much about me and Andy I saw our own story be told in a different lense. I liked it mostly towards the end.

this is so beautifully written, it meanders through a memory and makes for wonderful listening. I highly recommend listening to the author themselves reading the story aloud.
