This book had an interesting premise but it failed to deliver. Maybe it's just me but I have read to many books recently about post partum depression and I feel burnt out from it. I liked the fantastical parts of this book but it didn't capture my attention.

I’m glad I stuck it out with this book because my favorite part was the ending. The last 80 or so pages make up for the slow beginning plot.

“But wasn’t everything performative? What were we if not constantly refashioning ourselves into what we wanted the world to see?”

Also loved the epilogue and Authors Note.
