a whole lot of yes

I was so excited to read about some more characters in this series. This did not disappoint at all. I honestly think what I loved most was the connection that they all had and built. Yes there was the tension simmering but they all didn’t push that too much. They had their little moments here and there and built upon that but also made sure to build a solid foundation first. They definitely had that in spades. The friendship and banter was chefs kiss. Also…. I never knew I needed to read about that secret project but DEAR LORD PLEASE it made my brain glitch. That was one of the highlights of this book. I mean… dangggggg. That’s all I got on that. If you want a good novella to read, this is definitely something to give a look at. Especially if you want to read about roommates who are special roommates, a secret project and some fun banter this is definitely for you.

This book affected me in a whole different way. The relationship Amber had with her father brought out every daddy issue I have. He was everything you want in a dad. The reason this book was hard for me was the relationship with her mom. I kind of feel the conclusion of that was just not there. I loved the relationship with the boys though and that made up for everything. I think that may have been the point of the story. The people in your life don't have to be blood but people that love and care for you. This book really put me in the feels of love. These boys are just so wonderful and made Amber's life better in such a positive way.

One thing I really loved in the story was how the book played a role in the relationship and I don't want to give anything away but it was one of my favorite parts, and the dog of course.

If you want something, make it happen. Go and get it. Stop saying to yourself that it’s impossible. The only people who can limit us are ourselves.

“My dad was the first to know I like boys and girls. I told him they all excite me. And he said then you better excite them back.“ I chuckle as I reminisce. “My dad asked the first guy I brought to the house how much I excited him from one to ten. The poor guy said five. My dad said get out of my house, my son deserves a ten.“

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think I say this every time I read one of Kay’s books but Kay does such an amazing job at writing emotion and developing a relationship between characters. Several times I found myself tearing up. I’m always so moved by Kay’s characters. Amber, Bradley and Ronnie are beautiful but together they are perfect. I loved watching their growth and development through the book. And the side characters, excellent.
