This was a solid thriller and honestly a bit spooky in parts.

This was the most boring “thriller” I’ve ever read.

I really wanted to like this book. The plot was so intriguing, but the multiple POV’s and timelines were hard to follow. I really wasn’t connected to much of the middle of the storyline at all…. I honestly just wanted to figure out what happened and how but it took a really long time to get there.

The Shadows is a slow-burn thriller surrounded around dream sharing, multi-killer murders, and someone called "Red Hands." Overall, I enjoyed this read, and it read almost cult-like. It was a bit slow at times and any jumping between timelines will always result in some discombobulation. Paul is a pretty generic main character, but I thought he was just enough to keep the story going. There were tasteful plot twists I appreciated and others that made me roll my eyes big time. I wished for a bit more restraint at the end of the book with the way in which things were executed.
