As with the rest of this series, it’s hard to describe. The characters are engaging, the plot, ridiculous, and the writing decent. This might make it sound like you shouldn’t read it, and honestly? Despite the 5/5 stars, you probably shouldn’t.

this might be the greatest improvement between books i have ever seen in a series. i didnt love the foxhole court but this blew me away. every character was infinitely more fleshed out in this book and the pacing fixed itself to present a compelling plot throughout. this book is heartbreaking in a hundred and one ways but it makes you fall in love with the foxes so deeply. this really was the start of the end for me when i knew thered be no coming back from aftg brain rot

It’s horrible, it’s amazing. I hate it, I’m obsessed. I have zero interest in most sports, I am DIYing a Palmetto State Jersey. My Lock Screen is the Foxes’ logo. I made a bookmark with the team’s lineup and logo. I was in a horrible reading slump for almost a month and absolutely devoured this in three days. They’re evil little monsters with mountains of trauma out for their own survival, they’ll self sacrifice and murder for each other without a blink. The team is finally learning to come together just as they’re being torn apart. They don’t give two sh*ts. They care so f*cking much. The odds are so high against them it’s impossible. I can’t wait to watch them destroy everyone at semi-finals.

The content warnings are almost as long as the review, the list keeps going. And yet…

Reading isn’t enough. I need to inject this into my bloodstream.
I cannot recommend this to any of my friends. I am desperate for someone to infect with it. I need someone to go insane with me.

this book has all the same issues as tbe first book, along with most of the story being told in info dumps. I still hate the treatment of Andrews' character, and the handling of Nickys' sexuality. Also I truly thing the author should've done at least a bloody google search about what psychosis is, because clearly she has no idea what it means considering how wrongly she uses the word.
I did enjoy the story a bit more than the first book but I still can't bring myself to rate it anything over a 2. Why the hell I'm rereading this is truly a mystery.

This is the second book I’ve read this year with this title. Coincidence? I think not.
