Although a bit less war centered (gotta also advance the plot) there's no shortage of intrigue on this volume. We arrive at the Dusk Court, we meet new players and I personally finally found some kind of love for Tuya (still angry at her, but her actions are justified). Still loving Corvin and Kippa and their father-daugther relationship
Graphic: Gore, Xenophobia, Torture, Medical content, Injury/Injury detail, Self harm, Death, Violence, Vomit, Blood, and Suicidal thoughts
Moderate: Ableism

This series! I absolutely love this series.
Liu and Takeda have created a very intricate and vast web of different arcs that involve such a wide cast of characters, plots, treasons, reasons, and emotions that create some amazing moments in the series and I am living for it!
I can't believe how this volume, collectively issues 36-41, opened up with Maika incapacitated in her own mind but what a way to open the volume as it sets the stage to get some very long awaited answers for Maika and Zinn. The amount of reveals that I got in this volume was just amazing as is the continuing world building that Liu is working on as we're at the Dusk Court and oh boy.... yeah lots going there too.
Also continuaing kudos to Takeda for the amazing illustrations! The larger panels were 100% my favorites. The use of color is second to the illustrations because they are just as amazing to look at and I want some panels as prints. Do I have the wall space? no. Does it matter? also no but I want them!
Can't wait for the rest of this series!

I keep reading these. I keep enjoying the heck out of them. I keep being confused a hefty percent of the time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
