A charming little romance. I had a little trouble buying the mail lead as a human that would actually exist., but it didn’t bother me a ton!
One of the best parts for me was that the female lead is bisexual and that’s just not what the story is about ! So often bisexual leads are having a bi awakening or coping with biphobia…or are functionally straight leads with a bi label to make them seem edgy. The fact that the female lead had a traumatic break up with a female ex and was estranged from her family due to their homophobia made it so her bisexuality was core to her identity— but it also didn’t come up a ton because the character had done the work of figuring that out before the book started.

Idk maybe I'm not a big celebrity-romance person? I don't think I've read many (besides like F1 romances which are kinda different?). I wanted to get a little more deep with these characters but I didn't super connect with them - besides the FMC being bi. She's also a writer so maybe if people are writers they'd connect with her more? But I also didn't love that she was basically only able to write based on this man being her 'muse'. Idk I was a little bored the whole time. I also had to start/stop the book due to other loans so maybe that disjointed my connection but I don't really think so. I also hated the third act breakup
The book spans a few months but it takes place during holiday season so has that vibe without being strictly a holiday romance.
