What’s with all the bad reviews? This was adorable and filled with flawed, loveable characters.

I loved everything about this…especially how the FMC collected mugs for different moods. In my last relationship, my ex-husband used to scold me for collecting too many mugs. However the MMC, Mason, loved that about the FMC.

She was great. Hilarious and relatable.

I found Unromance to be a very enjoyable book. We got tropes, spice, LGBTQ+ representation in one of our main characters. There is a lot to find in this book!

Ehhh I wanted to love it, but I was honestly bored. The writing felt juvenile and it just wasn’t my cup of tea as I started reading it. I don’t think they really had chemistry and it just fell flat for what I wanted/was hoping for

That was…fine. Cute characters, an interesting premise, good banter in the dialogue. But it never elevated beyond “cute” for me and the premise wasn’t quite mathing. Plus, I can’t with characters who are completely lacking in the self awareness department. A romance author heroine in a gd romance novel being supremely lacking in self awareness?? Absolutely tf not. Not a single romance author with a grain of sense would be like, “I can totally cure this sweet, hot man of romance by doing romantic things with him” lol.

Also, as a writer myself, words cannot express how much I loathe — LOOOOAAAATHE!!!!!! — the fact that Sawyer’s ability to write was directly tied to Mason. And when I mean directly, I mean DIRECTLY 🤢. If I ever feel the need to call a man & thank him for saving me from writers block or call him my “muse” pls throw me in a lake forthwith, god.

Anyway. Cute but not a keeper.
