The writing in this second book is just as beautiful as the first, but the story was slower through the middle which pulled this from a 4 star to 3.5 star read. And I have to admit that I started to get a bit annoyed with Khiran and a little with Anna too as I waited for them to turn and face things in a more head on way.

The ending - really about the last third of the book - was very good. The beauty and justice and resolution were all so so good.

One small wish - I didn’t get enough with some of the other characters and think I could have really loved them.

Overall this is a fantastic duology. Highly recommend!

I feel like I may be on the opposite end of the spectrum when I say this was INFINITELY better than book 1. I am simply enamored by this book and the now that it’s over I am actually heartbroken. They sacrificed so so much time and energy to be with each other. Now was I close to sobbing at the end sure, but I loved it all the same lol. Their love is simply beautiful and I am so glad I got to experience it. A love that last centuries, what more could anyone ask for!

This final book of the duology is just as wonderful as the first book. No full review.

A beautiful love story streched out by the promise of forever.

I don’t want to give spoilers, go read it for yourselves. It’s a really great, well-rounded slow burn story.

However, I have to mention one thing that’s NOT in it:
I’m so utterly thankful for Rachelle for skipping the “breaking the lovers apart to keep the plot interesting” cliché.
