I loved this book. The author writes romance so beautifully from the female perspective. You feel Khiran’s longing and turmoil over Anna and her safety. It’s so refreshing to the genre. I also enjoyed the introduction of new characters, Cassius, Malik, and Kaia, in particular. I did get worried at the 95% mark that the ending was going to flop, but the last chapter was excellent.

The only negative feedback I have on this one is that there were some repetitive middle parts. I felt like Khiran and Anna had the same conversation about their undying love for each other in almost every chapter. It wasn’t too distracting, but I did have to dock one star for it. I almost wish they had gotten separated on the run to add more plot.
