Spoilers Ahead:
Almost halfway through, I'm so confused. The FMC says she doesn't want to date anyone seriously but then says she is looking for a forever life partner. The MMC is literally looking for a wife and likes everything about the FMC. They both want to see each other casually while the FMC helps the MMC find a wife. Why has neither thought to discuss the possibility that the FMC is a potential candidate? This seems stupid.
Near the end, the FMC was hoping the MMC would call off the wife search, but she ran away from him the night before, giving the impression she doesn't want more? This story was too frustrating to enjoy. The actions of the characters didn't make sense.
And then, the FMC, who is looking for a wife for the MMC, gets angry because she thinks he had sex with his ex. I mean, at this point, she has no reason to be angry at him for this. She's given him no indication she wants more than a casual thing and SHE'S the one who keeps running from him.
I was going to give this book two stars but after the FMC gets angry about the misunderstanding, I can't even rate it that high. This story just wasn't for me. It didn't make sense.

I was originally thinking more like 2.5 stars (narrator John Lane adds the half star), but now I'm thinking 2 stars if a week later I can barely remember what the plot was?

An enjoyable story that drew me in and kept me engaged until the very end. The two main characters Sterling and Camryn were both extremely likable and they definitely had a lot of chemistry and I certainly enjoyed the banter between the pair.

The story itself was lighthearted and in a way quite sweet. It also had a few hot moments, and no heavy emotional issues. I also particularly loved all of Sterling's British sayings which the author captured brilliantly without having to constantly remind you that Sterling was indeed originally from Britain and therefore used different words for certain things.

Overall though it was an enjoyable read and one I would happily recommend to others and I will certainly be checking out more books by this author in the future.
