Easily the best graphic novel I've ever picked up. From the first page to the last I asked myself why I had not read it before now. It is constantly mentioned in pop culture to this day and is esteemed by so many for a reason. It is only February and I may have just read my favorite book of the year.

I enjoy morally grey characters. I enjoy that even "superheroes" are not always good. I enjoy that the "good guys" didn't even win.
But I don't know if it's...worth all its edge if that makes sense.
I understand why it's so edgy, I understand how it broke comic book norms, especially for the time. I read this for a college course, I've literally studied it. I'm personally not a fan of its edge, but I can appreciate it.
Also I still have trouble getting past whatever the heck the women were in this comic because they were not the best written ones.
