went into this thinking it was the last of a trilogy. definitely not, the story is far from over. i wish i had figured that out beforehand - all throughout the book, i was concerned about pacing and wondering how all these loose ends would be tied up by the ending.
had a hard time sticking it out, too - i struggled a lot with blatant bullying perpetrated by the love interest.

I was lucky enough to receive an e-ARC of this book, but of course I also had to buy the physical copy to go with my other copies of the Rowan Blood series. So I am going into this review being biased towards Graves and their writing and the story/series as a whole. But why else eagerly devour the third book in a trilogy if you aren't Committed at this point? I am fully committed to Saffron and Cylvan's love story. This book expanded on the lore and plot from the previous two books while also introducing new, delightful characters. Cannot recommend this series enough to people. Come for the queer, fae/human romance and stay for the incredible supporting cast, interesting lore, and complex plot.
First of all, I love this series and am happy with everything within this book, knowing that they were happy (before it all went to shit). Second of all, how much stress can a Rowan witch and high fey take without it getting concerning? Also I would like to wrap both Cylvan and Saffron in a blanket and keep them away from every single dangerous thing possible. Add Asche into this because I love them.

I just finished this book and I don’t know how to put into words how much I loved it. This has to be my favourite series I’ve ever read and this book no different.
I loved the new characters, the funny moments and the tender moments we got with them. I even loved the angst that is Kellens signature. I love reading literally everything about these characters and I think think one balanced out the fluff and angst pretty well! if your heart is broken after book two this will put it back together again ( but oh will it crack again )

I fell for the "thought it was a trilogy, but its actually a longer series". I was SO confused when there where so many open ends and just 50 pages left lmao.
Besides that slight confusion I am not complaining. This series has become one of my absolute favorites. I love Saffrons character. I love him and Cylvan. I love the intrigue, the magic system, the lore. More than once I was on the edge of my seat, while reading these books and I am SO happy that the series isnt over.
Aehm, a little digging on the authors Instagram account confirmed that they are apparently planning EIGHT! EIGHHHHT!!! books??! I wasnt only wrong. I was looking at moon thinking it was the sun. Someone give me a bigger bookshelf, dear god.
Because if that wasnt clear: I am staying with these characters now. For three, eight or twenty books.
