This was actually pretty good. Probably one of the best Fear Street books that I have read so far.

A short, likeable, guilty pleasure type of book.
It's nice to revisit childhood authors every now and again.

Fear Street # 41
Ellie Anderson seems like your average teen in Shadyside, but she's got a secret. Is she a Mind Reader? No. No one in this book is. She does have enough psychic powers to find the body of her best friend's older sister who went missing a few years ago. Someone doesn't appreciate that body being found, however. Who could the killer be? Is it the brooding boy who seems to vanish every time the cops need to talk to Ellie about the dead body?
'The Mind Reader' had little charm, bad parenting, and a heroine with little intelligence and no moxie. There have been worse in the series though. So a normal book would get one star, a Fear Street Novel gets two.
Fear Street in Publication Order
Next #42: 'Cheerleaders: The New Evil', Super Chiller #7, Cheerleaders #4
Previous: #40: 'The Third Horror', 99 Fear Street Trilogy #3

Misleading title, it wasn't really mind reading. Should have called it The Psychic or The Medium or something.

The good parts of this book were, unfortunately, overshadowed by how unintentionally terrible the love interest was. Can you say assault, because Ellie should.
