Good. So good. Such a solid and dark story arc. The way politics are woven through the story is cleverly done. I wish the art style was more consistent, particularly when it comes to characters’ faces, as I sometimes had a hard time keeping characters straight. The ending fight though— ugh, I could read it over and over again.
I can definitely see why a lot of people really like this story. It's the Batman I'm most familiar with-big, dark, and ass-kicking who puts the fear of god into his enemies and criminals. I really liked how it was an older Batman who was still going out and kicking ass-a little slower than in his younger days, but in a way scarier. Definitely way beyond the old man in the woods with a cane that you don't mess with. I can also see where the influence of this comic had come into play with the newer versions of Batman. The campy 60s version is gone-bring in Arkham Asylum and The Dark Knight movie trilogy! The only downside for me was the artwork since it was a little on the weird side, but I got over that fairly quickly. I would definitely suggest this to anyone who is a fan of Batman. The build up to the amusement park scene is well worth the read.
I loved it. There's something not quite alright with Batman's head in there, and he's way too quick to accept that a 13 year-old puts herself in danger, and that others commit crimes in his name. That's part of the charm, I think. :D
I could really feel why he would be considered a threat. I could feel the grayness of his morality - and, for once, I felt that Superman was a rounded character as well. There was a lot of subtlety in the story and I'm happy I got a chance to devour it.

I know this is considered one of the greatest graphic novels of all time, but I really didn't enjoy it. Didn't care for the story or graphics, it was a struggle to get through. I'm guessing the superhero genre just isn't my thing, but I have nothing to compare it to.
So good.
I want more than anything in the world for them to make this a live action film out of this. And I want Clint Eastwood to play Batman. Take my money.
