This is a great book about two boys who come of age. There is12 year old Marcus who has no father in life and
There is 34 year old Will who lives of royalties from his late father. Both have no jobs and are going with the flow in life. The book is just about word for word as the movie. But the movie adds an unnecessary music show. This book is Hornby at his best.

WHY WAS I MADE TO READ THIS IN SCHOOL WHYYYY

I feel like I'm in the minority here - most people loved this but GOD I hated my time reading it. I don't know if it's because I HAD to read it or if I genuinely disliked it but I couldn't connect to anything in this story and I hate that I had to spend months studying it in school.

How can you not like Marcus? He is a nerd in the best possible way. Love Hornby, I need to go back and read all of these books.

Seen the film so many times and is pretty much based on the book. Most noticeable thing is in the film Marcus doesn't wear glasses! Good, easy read.
