My rating - Three Stars.
I found is book okay read but I found is book to be bit dull. I think people who like the Fields
Kevin Maher may like is book. The cover of book was okay. The writing was fine and the writing was very easy follow also the ending was okay. The atmosphere was okay but bit bland and the paced of plot was well structured also is book has steady paced. I had mixed felling about the characters was okay and they needed most them well flash out

I feel like I came to this book very late, and that everyone else has read it long ago. One reason I put it off was that it was mostly only men who told me how good it was, and I was suspicious of that, or uncertain of how much I would like it. But, I found it to be thoroughly enjoyable, funny, insightful, heart-warming, and very realistic in terms of how people think and act and are. I grew very fond of both narrators, the man in his thirties and the 12-year-old boy, whose inner worlds were so endearingly described. The boy, especially, in his way of thinking that is half grown-up and half little boy, kind of teetering on the edge of adulthood; and the adult man who is also half little boy and half adult in his own way. It is an entertaining look at masculinity, but there is a lot about women too, although as they are seen from a male perspective. It was a fun, quick, engaging read, so if you haven't read it, you should, and now you can believe it because I am a woman telling you so.
