When I first heard about this book, I didn't think I would like it because I don't care a lot for back stories. I saw the book in my local library and decided I would give it a try. I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed LC and Chippy's story and never would have guessed the way they started out.
If you liked the Family Business trilogy, I would highly recommend this book.

I'm already a fan of the Family Business series, but seeing how it all began was just as great as the other novels. I would have never imagined Chippy was the type of woman she really was or that LC and the rest of the Duncan clan came from such humble beginnings.
I learned some things in this one and now I really think Donna is the culprit of the tragedy in FB3...
Great insight provided of the background of the Duncan Brothers. The love story of Chippy and LC os beautiful and provides so much insight to the television series.
