This book illustrates the poignancy of love and loss unlike any text novel I've read in recent memory. The emotions experience by the characters are laid raw on the page. It's a work of subtle beauty.

The idea sounded great but I felt confused with the type of dialogue and art used to convey the story at times and that just left me feeling frustrated.

Excellent use of watercolor to illustrate slips in feeling, consciousness, and hope as an extended family comes to terms with their father/husband's terminal illness.

Not sure what to say... but her drawings take you to a hospital room with a loved one- the surroudnings...the sounds and smells... conversations. The drawings are spectacular. I'm guessing she's a really big deal in Brussels
