Audio censored language and the story seemed confusing and juvenile
This was high on my to-read list and it definitely did not dissapoint. Kady is possibly one of my favourite characters that I have ever encountered, the same feeling that I had when I had read Cinder.
But the biggest twist of the book would have to be AIDAN.
A must read, and I would describe Illuminae as "The Walking Dead" meets "Ex-Machina".
An easy 5 stars, heck I'd give it 10. Yup, it was that good.

Okay Illuminae, it took me a hot minute to finish you but boy were you good!! Def give a 4.8. Shocked me more than once! A must read!
I didn't know much about this book (other than its interesting formatting) when I started reading it. I was actually almost disappointed when I saw it on YA lists on Goodreads. I have nothing against YA, but it's usually not for me.
Nevertheless, I loved this book. It had my full attention from start to finish. I burned through it in what little free time I've had recently. The dialogue did get pretty corny at times. I don't know if that's just because I was a weird teenager who always texted in full sentences and never used slang, but sometimes the slang and emojis pulled me out of the story. I'm aware that I'm picky, so it's fine.
I'm definitely going to read the whole series. I might take a small break before I read the next one though, because that one part leading up to the end hurt my heart a little bit.
